Tiramisu Martini Recipe: Creamy Coffee Cocktail Guide

A creamy, sweet dessert cocktail perfect for the holidays — the Tiramisu Martini makes a wonderful alternative to a full dessert or a delightful accompaniment to one.

We love after-dinner drinks like this sweet martini. If you enjoy dessert cocktails, another favorite is a bold Irish coffee topped with plenty of whipped cream.

A Delicious Dessert Cocktail Recipe

What’s not to love about tiramisu? Chocolate, rich cream and crisp, rum-soaked ladyfingers all layered and chilled — it’s hard to go wrong. Even though I’m not a big coffee drinker, I enjoy the coffee flavor that completes the classic dessert.

As a food writer, I prepare a wide variety of dishes each week for the blog: appetizers, mains, party food and everything in between. That range of recipes keeps me inspired to adapt classics like tiramisu into drinkable dessert forms.

What Foods Does A Tiramisu Martini Go With?

We eat a wide variety of meals at home — everything from stuffed mushrooms and soup to chicken wings and even breakfast for dinner. My kids think they live in a restaurant because they always ask what’s on the menu when they come home from school.

When I dine out at my favorite Italian restaurant, I’m very predictable: Chicken Marsala for the main course and tiramisu for dessert every single time. Turning tiramisu into a martini captures those familiar flavors in a simple, drinkable format.

Ingredients For A Tiramisu Martini

  • Vanilla vodka
  • Heavy cream
  • Tia Maria (coffee liqueur)
  • Dark rum
  • 3 ladyfinger cookies — for garnish and rimming the glass
  • Cocoa powder for garnish
  • Corn syrup for rimming the glass

When To Serve Dessert Cocktails

Instead of making a full tiramisu every time the craving hits, this martini delivers all the dessert’s signature flavors — coffee liqueur, cream, dark rum and a hint of vanilla — in a single glass. It’s rich, sweet and satisfying, so it’s best sipped slowly even though it’s fairly strong.

Shake, strain and garnish: a crushed ladyfinger rim and a dusting of cocoa bring the dessert to life in cocktail form. It’s a great option for holiday gatherings, dinner parties, or any evening when you want dessert without the fuss.

A creamy, sweet dessert cocktail that’s perfect for the holidays! Make this Tiramisu Martini instead of or alongside dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 ounce vanilla vodka
  • 1 ounce heavy cream
  • 1/2 ounce Tia Maria (coffee liqueur)
  • 1/2 ounce dark rum
  • 3 ladyfinger cookies, for garnish and rimming the glass
  • Cocoa powder for garnish
  • Corn syrup for rimming the glass

Instructions

  1. Place two of the ladyfinger cookies into a resealable bag and crush them into fine crumbs. Transfer the crumbs to a small, shallow plate.
  2. Spread a thin layer of corn syrup on another shallow plate. Dip the rim of a martini glass into the corn syrup, then press the rim into the crushed cookies to coat evenly.
  3. Combine the vanilla vodka, heavy cream, Tia Maria and dark rum in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into the prepared glass.
  4. Garnish with the remaining ladyfinger and a dusting of cocoa powder.
