The best carrot, apple and orange juice

Every so often a freshly pressed juice makes a lasting impression, and this carrot, apple and orange juice with fresh ginger is one of those. It’s simple to prepare, bright in color and flavor, and hits the perfect balance of sweet and slightly tart with a warming ginger finish.

I make small batches on my compact juicer at home and love testing different produce combinations. This particular blend quickly became a favorite because it is so easy to prepare yet so flavorful. The natural sugars from the apples and oranges complement the earthy sweetness of the carrots, while the ginger adds a fresh, lively bite.

This juice is an excellent morning pick-me-up, a refreshing afternoon boost, or a great addition to wellness routines. No sweeteners or additives are necessary—just fresh produce and a good juicer. It’s a must-try for anyone who enjoys homemade juices.

How to make this fresh juice

With your juicer assembled and ready, simply wash and prepare the produce. Cut apples, carrots and oranges into pieces that will easily pass through your juicer’s chute. If you prefer, remove the orange peel and most of the white pith to avoid any bitter notes, though lightly peeling by hand works fine too.

After cleaning and chopping, feed the ingredients through your juicer, stir the collected juice to blend flavors evenly, and enjoy immediately. If you like a more pronounced ginger flavor, add a little extra; if you prefer a milder drink, use less ginger. This recipe is forgiving and easy to adjust to your taste.

Description

This carrot, apple and orange juice with ginger is a refreshing, wholesome juice made from whole fruit and root vegetables. It’s naturally sweet, slightly tart, and finished with a bright note of ginger. No added sugar is needed—just fresh produce and a juicer for a simple, vibrant beverage.

Ingredients

  • 2 large carrots, peeled and cut into pieces small enough to pass through your juicer
  • 2 large apples, cored and cut into pieces
  • 2 large oranges, peel removed and cut into pieces
  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your juicer. Make sure all parts are clean and assembled according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Wash and prep produce. Rinse carrots, apples and oranges thoroughly. Peel the oranges and trim away any thick white pith if you prefer a milder, less bitter flavor.
  3. Cut to size. Chop the carrots, apples and oranges into pieces that will fit your juicer’s chute. Slice the ginger thinly so its flavor extracts easily.
  4. Juice. Feed the prepared produce through the juicer, alternating between firmer and juicier items to help extraction. Collect the juice in a container, stir to combine, and taste. Add more ginger for extra warmth if desired.
  5. Serve or store. Serve immediately over ice if you like. Alternatively, transfer the juice into a tightly sealed container and refrigerate for up to three days.

Notes

Storage: Keep the juice refrigerated in a tightly sealed container for up to three days. A mason jar or other airtight jar works well.

Freezing: If you won’t finish the juice within a few days, freeze portions in freezer-safe containers. Thaw in the refrigerator and consume within 12–24 hours after thawing for best flavor.

Adjusting flavor: Increase or decrease the ginger to suit your taste. Swap apple varieties for different sweetness levels—Granny Smith adds tartness, while Fuji or Gala offer more sweetness.
