Seattle knows how to celebrate the Seahawks, and when New Day Northwest asked me to build a snack stadium, I happily went into full Beast Mode. It was a fun, festive segment showcasing creative game-day snacks anyone can assemble.
One of the kindest chefs I’ve met is Thierry Rautureau, the “Chef in the Hat.” His warmth and generosity made the experience even more memorable.
Here I am setting up on stage and getting everything ready for the live segment.
Backstage I met Mark Klebeck, owner of Top Pot Doughnuts. He’s a great guy and the doughnuts were delicious—especially the “Golden Tates.”
Chef Thierry made me a simple, delicious snack backstage—hot chocolate and toasted bread with salted butter. Absolutely heavenly.

I returned to New Day Northwest to share a “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” inspired dessert table. The holiday-themed treats were a joy to assemble and perfect for festive gatherings.
Back at KING 5 studios in Seattle, I set up the dessert table and prepared the display for the live segment.
Everything was arranged and ready to go, with a few final touches before the segment began.
Setting up and doing last-minute checks to ensure the display looked perfect on camera.
All set and awaiting our cue for the live taping.
Just before the segment, I reviewed details with my producer and made sure everything was camera-ready.
I took time to answer questions from the audience, which was always a highlight—seeing their excitement made the segment even more rewarding.
Working with New Day’s production team was a pleasure—Producer Kate and Director Steve are wonderfully kind and professional. Enjoy the video of the segment!

I was thrilled to return to New Day Northwest with a Christmas dessert table inspired by Producer Kate, who mentioned loving mini desserts. That sparked a theme of mini treats—from hot cocoa cup cookies to tiny tartlets—everything presented in adorable, bite-sized form.
At the KING 5 studios in Seattle, I set up the table and prepared to present the holiday treats on air.
It was lovely having my sons Austin and Carson, along with my niece Shelby, in the studio audience. My husband captured a family photo so we could all be part of the day.
Setting up before the segment and taking a moment backstage to get ready.
I enjoyed meeting the show’s crew—Director Steve Wilson and producers Heidi and Kate were supportive and fun to work with. They even played with the cookies backstage!
Associate producer Nikita helped with mini donut polar bears and was delightful to work with. I also thanked host Margaret Larson for inviting me back—she’s truly wonderful.
