Meet my new favorite brownies.
These flourless hazelnut brownies are ultra-decadent and fudgy, and because they contain no grain they’re naturally grain-free, gluten-free, and paleo-friendly — a treat almost anyone can enjoy.
They’re sweetened entirely with honey and baked in a loaf pan for a small batch perfect for sharing. The batter features toasted hazelnut butter for deep nutty flavor, and the brownies are finished with chopped toasted hazelnuts on top for crunch.
The crowning touch is a thick hemp-infused honey ganache made with Luce Farm’s Hemp-Infused Honey, which adds a subtle herbal note and a measured dose of CBD to every bite.

I’m guilty of nibbling brownies for days after baking — slivers every time I pass the kitchen — and these were no exception. After a few days of sneaking pieces, I confidently declared them the best brownies I’ve made. They’re rich, fudgy, and intensely satisfying.

That hemp-infused honey ganache? Incredible. I used Luce Farm’s Hemp-Infused Honey to incorporate CBD into each bite, lending a delicate herbal sweetness that pairs beautifully with chocolate and hazelnut.

New to CBD? A brief primer:
CBD (Cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound in hemp. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive and will not produce a high. It is legal across the United States and is commonly used for its potential health benefits, including supporting sleep, managing anxiety, and reducing inflammation. Luce Farm grows hemp organically in Stockbridge, VT, and uses a CO2 extraction process to produce a full-spectrum oil that is blended with raw Vermont honey to create a nutrient-dense, herbaceous Hemp-Infused Honey.
That honey is delightful stirred into tea or enjoyed by the spoonful, and when combined with cocoa and hazelnut butter it becomes a luxurious ganache ideal for topping fudgey brownies.
The growing body of research suggests CBD may help with pain, inflammation, anxiety, sleep, and even offer neuroprotective properties. If you’re curious about CBD’s effects or how it might work for you, consult reliable sources or speak with your healthcare provider.

My suggestion: pick up a jar of hemp-infused honey and try these hazelnut brownies topped with the hemp ganache. They make a thoughtful gift or a special treat for a loved one — or yourself — any day of the year.

Whether you’re new to CBD or already enjoy its flavor and benefits, Luce Farm’s Hemp-Infused Honey is worth trying. If you love fudgy brownies and the chocolate-hazelnut combination, these will bring you joy. If you make them, let me know how they turn out—leave a comment or share a photo on Instagram.
Flourless Hazelnut Brownies with Hemp-Infused Honey Ganache
Chelsea Colbath
15 minutes
4
Ingredients
Brownies
- 2/3 cup toasted hazelnut butter or 2 cups raw hazelnuts to make your own*
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 egg
- 2 Tablespoons virgin coconut oil melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Ganache
- 1/4 cup Hemp-Infused Honey
- 3 Tablespoons virgin coconut oil at room temperature
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 Tablespoon toasted hazelnut butter
- a pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup toasted hazelnuts + a pinch of flaky salt for topping (optional)
Instructions
-
1. If making your own hazelnut butter: preheat oven to 350°F and toast 2 cups raw hazelnuts on a sheet pan for 10–14 minutes, until golden. Line a loaf pan with parchment. Transfer toasted hazelnuts to a food processor or high-powered blender and process until completely smooth, scraping the sides as needed.
-
2. Measure 2/3 cup hazelnut butter into a bowl and whisk together with honey, egg, melted coconut oil, and vanilla. Add cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; stir until a thick batter forms. Pour into the prepared loaf pan and bake 16–18 minutes, until the center is just barely set. Do not overbake.
-
3. Allow brownies to cool slightly, then lift from the pan using the parchment and transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely. The center may sink slightly, creating an ideal well for the ganache.
-
4. For the ganache, stir Hemp-Infused Honey, room-temperature coconut oil, cocoa powder, hazelnut butter, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. The ganache should be thick but spreadable; if too thin, chill briefly to firm up before spreading.
-
5. Once brownies are completely cool, spread the ganache over the top and sprinkle with chopped toasted hazelnuts and flaky salt if desired. Cut into 4–8 pieces depending on portion size. Store extras at room temperature up to 5 days; flavors often deepen after resting overnight.
Notes
Because the ganache is CBD-infused, consider portioning the loaf into at least 4 pieces (approximately 30 mg CBD per piece) or up to 8 (about 15 mg per piece), depending on serving size and desired CBD per portion. If avoiding CBD for any guest, substitute equal parts raw honey in the ganache instead.
