8 Guilt-Free Desserts Under 100 Calories Each

These dessert ideas aren’t for the people who can take one bite of a cookie and walk away. These low-calorie desserts are for people like me who want to enjoy an entire treat for about 100 calories and still stay on track with weight-loss goals.

I count calories. It’s not a fad. Some argue calories don’t matter, or that they’re irrelevant if you eat “healthy” foods. After 45 years as a short woman, I can tell you calories matter. Even a few hundred extra calories of healthy foods each day added up to most of the weight struggles I experienced.

New beliefs about counting calories

When I stopped assuming calories were irrelevant and began tracking everything and eating mindfully, I stopped gaining weight. At first tracking felt like a chore—I resisted it and thought it was unfair. Over time I learned to enjoy the process. The journey matters as much as the destination.

I decided to find joy in tracking. I reframed it as a learning experience, almost like a small experiment—planning ahead and observing how different foods affect my body. Tracking gave me accountability and structure rather than turning every day into a free-for-all.

Now tracking is enjoyable and even a little scientific for me. I like knowing how foods impact me, and I love that tracking lets me include any food—dessert included—when it fits my plan.

Why low-calorie desserts matter

I love dessert, and because I track, I want to know the calories and macros for each portion. I also value portion control—if I can make a single-serving dessert, I will. I searched for low-calorie desserts and found many “healthy” options that were still high in calories, so I created a list of eight desserts that are under 100 calories and meant to be made as single servings you can enjoy entirely.
