Rich, chocolaty and irresistibly crunchy, these superfood-infused Raw Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Bars are a healthy, decadent snack. Each bite delivers nutrients, powerful antioxidants and bold flavor. Refined sugar-free and delightfully crisp, these bars are the perfect guilt-free chocolate treat.

I’ve always been serious about my chocolate cravings. When I began a weight-loss and healthier eating journey almost four years ago, I knew chocolate would be the hardest thing to give up. Rather than deny myself, I looked for better options and discovered raw cacao powder—an ingredient that changed everything. Making homemade raw chocolate was an “aha” moment that let me satisfy cravings while improving my diet.
Raw cacao is nutrient-dense and, in its pure form, offers many health benefits. Dark chocolate made from raw cacao can boost mood and provides antioxidants that help protect the body. Since then, my favorite breakfasts and snacks often include chocolate and peanut butter—like my Chocolate Peanut Butter Chia Seed Pudding or Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Roll-Ups—and these Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Bars quickly became a favorite.

Store-bought dark chocolate with 70% or more cacao can be a good choice, but high-quality, refined sugar-free varieties are often expensive and hard to find. Making dark chocolate at home allows you to choose wholesome, unprocessed ingredients—organic raw cacao, pure maple syrup or honey, and quality oils—while experimenting with flavors and additions.
These bars are inspired by childhood rice crispy treats but upgraded to be healthier and more nutritious. They deliver a satisfying crunch and deep bittersweet chocolate flavor, scented with cinnamon and vanilla, and finished with a scattering of superfood toppings.

Packed with heart-healthy, anti-inflammatory fats, vitamins and minerals, these bars give an energy boost while supporting mood and immunity. Raw cacao is especially notable for antioxidants and plant-based minerals like iron and magnesium. Cacao also contains compounds linked to positive mood effects, which helps explain why many people find dark chocolate so comforting.

The bars rely on coconut oil and peanut butter for their creamy fat content. Coconut oil supplies medium-chain triglycerides that are easily used for energy, plus antioxidants and digestive support. Peanut butter adds monounsaturated fats, vitamin E, magnesium, potassium and B6, along with protein and fiber to make the bars satisfying. Puffed rice adds the light crispiness—puffed quinoa or amaranth work well as alternatives.
To finish, I sprinkled the bars with superfood toppings like crushed goji berries, bee pollen and dried blueberries. The tart berries balance the bittersweet chocolate, creating a delightful snacking experience.
