Grilled Ham and Pineapple Skewers with Zesty Ginger Glaze

First up: flavour-packed Grilled Ham and Pineapple Kebabs with Ginger Sauce. These kebabs are super simple to make, packed with sweet and savory contrast, and ideal for summertime barbecues.

INGREDIENTS

Makes 12 | Prep 10 mins | Cook 5 mins

200 g D’Orsogna Original Ham Off The Bone Leg Ham
1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored and cut into 2 cm-thick triangles
3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp fresh ginger, grated
Bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

METHOD

1. Thread soaked bamboo skewers with alternating pieces of ham and pineapple until each skewer has three sets of both. Repeat with remaining skewers.
2. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar and grated ginger. Baste the ham and pineapple with the sauce, then refrigerate and marinate for 1 hour.
3. Grill on a hot barbecue until the pineapple and ham begin to caramelize.

Serve with lightly toasted coconut flakes for added texture and flavor.
